Sapphos Environmental, Inc. has been involved in region-wide sustainability strategies, including providing technical sustainability services in support of Climate Change Program Implementation at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), including preparation of Metro’s Urban Greening Plan. Sapphos Environmental, Inc. also provided input to Metro’s 2016 Energy and Resource Report and provided the greenhouse gas reduction strategy for the Port of Long Beach’s Climate Adaptation and Coastal Resilience Plan. Additionally, Sapphos Environmental, Inc. prepared the Program EIR for SCAG’s 2016–2040 Regional Transportation Plan / Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP / SCS), which has withstood all legal challenges.

Envision is a rating system and best practice resource designed to aid in the successful implemention of sustainability into infrastructure projects. Envision measures the sustainability of an infrastructure project from design though construction and maintenance. Sustainability Planning with Project Team

Sapphos Environmental, Inc. will provide general consulting on retrofit planning and site improvements concerning water, energy, materials and indoor environmental quality issues for sustainable design and operations. Sapphos Environmental, Inc. will provide Memorandums for the Record (MFRs) identifying and analyzing appropriate “green” improvements that will improve building efficiency. Sapphos Environmental, Inc. will conduct a cost-benefit analysis of green capital improvements and coordinate with the design team to ensure project team understanding and goals.
