Since 1992, Sapphos Environmental, Inc. has successfully completed nearly 1,000 delivery orders, including approximately 400 delivery orders specific to 30 open-ended services contracts and nearly 600 individual delivery orders for the provisions of biological resources management services. Study methods, including regulatory agency and public outreach programs, have successfully withstood all legal challenges to technical and procedural adequacy of work efforts.
Sapphos Environmental, Inc. provides a full range of biological resources management services and is experienced with the biological resources of the southwestern United States. The key personnel have a breadth of skills and experience pertaining to the following areas: native species and habitats; general biotic surveys; protocol surveys for federally and state-listed species using the appropriate required licenses and permits; impact evaluations; construction monitoring and reporting; guidance for biological resources issues pertaining to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Clean Water Act, California Coastal Act, California Public Resources Code, California Fish and Game Code, California Endangered Species Act, and federal Endangered Species Act; regulatory services pertaining to jurisdictional boundaries; consultation with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to identify conservation measures to resolve issues related to candidate and listed species, designated critical habitats, and adopted or proposed habitat conservation plans (HCPs) and natural community conservation plans (NCCPs); preparation of applications, permits, and delineations pursuant to Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 1600 of the California Fish and Game Code, and the California Coastal Act; development, implementation, and review of HCP and NCCP habitat restoration design in compliance with the requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, USFWS, CDFW, and Regional Water Quality Control Board; and reserve or natural lands management services.
