ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE Analyst (CEQA/NEPA)

Sapphos Environmental, Inc., a growing environmental consulting firm, based in Pasadena, California is recruiting for an Environmental Compliance Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, technical writing, research, and public engagement. Assistant project management, public speaking, and/or business development are highly desirable.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Prepare environmental technical studies related input to CEQA and NEPA documents for selected environmental issues.
Serve as an assistant project manager, including scheduling, budget tracking, input to the administrative record, and responding to client inquiries.
Work collaboratively with others to achieve team goals
Execute tasks under the direction of others independently and reliably
Maintain current knowledge of primary environmental statutes, regulations, and processes
Perform technical research and data analysis
Conduct field work
Prepare memoranda, proposals, and various other reports
Support proposal efforts through development of input to technical scope, budget, and schedule.
Maintain and grow business relationships with clients
Effectively communicate in meetings
Interact with the public in community outreach processes

Qualifications

CEQA and/or NEPA experience
Environmental consulting experience preferred
Task management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skills in using personal computers and be knowledgeable about MS Office

Compensation

The salary range for this position is determined by level of education and experience.
