Grand Avenue and Environs

Music Center Operating Company

Los Angeles County, CA

Sapphos Environmental, Inc. was retained by the Music Center to prepare necessary environmental documentation pursuant to NEPA and CEQA in support of the Grand Avenue and Environs Project. The EIR analyzed impacts associated with the project elements, and ultimately, a Mitigation Monitoring Plan was prepared to reduce, avoid, and minimize impacts on aesthetics, biological resources, cultural resources, geology and soils, hazards and hazardous materials, hydrology and water quality, public services, and utilities and service systems to below the level of significance. Sapphos Environmental, Inc. determined there would still be potentially significant impacts on air quality, noise, transportation/traffic during construction, and cultural resources. The EIR was certified in October 2002. Sapphos Environmental, Inc. subsequently prepared four addenda to the EIR, the most recent in summer 2017.
