Sapphos Environmental, Inc., a growing environmental, planning, and resource management company located in Pasadena, is currently recruiting a mid-level archaeologist to join our expanding Cultural Resources Group. Under the supervision of the Cultural Resources Manager, this full-time, permanent position will entail fieldwork, archival research, site evaluation and recordation, preparation of technical reports, analysis of project impacts on archaeological resources, and mitigation monitoring.
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have a professional demeanor and strong organizational skills, and possess the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be able to work in a team environment with a variety of project members and manage tasks as delegated by project lead. The candidate must possess strong communication skills, the ability to work closely with clients, and be able to supervise the work of others.
The successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related discipline (MA /MS is preferred), and will have a minimum of five years of field experience. Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA) status is desirable. A record of professional research and publication will be favorably viewed.
